There's never a dull (haha!) moment in the pencil store, especially given our unique location in the Lower East Side. This week was punctuated by some fun customer service experiences and celebrity sightings!
We kicked off the week on Monday with a special visit from a class of kindergarteners. As this was our first classroom visit, we weren't sure what to expect - but it was a ton of fun! Very enthusiastic kids, eager to try everything in sight. Our biggest takeaway: next time we need to have a special area set up just for sharpening!
Our street was home to some unique visitors for the week. FOX's Gotham was filming its upcoming season down the street, and trailers for Commissioner Gordon and Alfred Pennyworth were set up right outside our door! Sightings of Benjamin McKenzie were especially exciting.
Speaking of celebrity... We're now carrying the super stylish Mono 100 in the store! Gorgeous and smooth, with exquisite design. Check it out in HB and 2B.
On Sunday we (very scientifically) determined our favorite pencils for the New York Times Sunday crossword. Izzy and I happily endorse the Pearl and CDT HB, respectively, for that purpose.
We're also in full planning mode for Back to School season! Keep your eyes peeled - we'll have lots of delightful things coming up!
