Scribe 375 #2 Pencil
This product is currently sold out.
The Scribe looks vintage, but is still produced by General Pencil Company, right across the Hudson River from our pencil shop. This round No. 2 pencil runs hard, giving it great point retention. It is, however, a little more difficult to erase than your average No. 2 pencil.
Family-owned General Pencil Company has been making pencils in Jersey City, NJ since 1889 and is one of only three pencil companies still left in the United States. All of their pencils are made of high quality California incense cedar and are made to as high a standard as they were 100 years ago.
Made in the USA
Grade: #2/HB - runs hard, but dark
Measures 7" long
Round barrel, normal diameter
We measure the characteristics of the pencils we sell against a General's Semi-Hex #2, which is the pencil we consider to be a good quality pencil of true HB/#2 hardness, similar to that of most American #2 pencils. The swatch in this product listing reflects that.
