Mono-R Pencil - B
This product is currently sold out.
In Japan, the Mono pencil exists in a few different levels of quality. This one is the middle-range version, the R standing for 'regular'. The Mono is known for its super fine graphite and impeccable quality and as it is made in Japan, it does run a little bit softer and darker than you'd expect from a B grade pencil.
Tombow was founded in Japan by Harunosuke Ogawa in 1913. The brand is widely recognized by their dragonfly logo, as Tombow means 'dragonfly' in Japanese.

We measure the characteristics of the pencils we sell against a General's Semi-Hex #2, which is the pencil we consider to be a good quality pencil of true HB/#2 hardness, similar to that of most American #2 pencils. The swatch in this product listing reflects that.
