“America's Original Pen Company", founded in Camden, NJ in 1858 by Richard Esterbrook. These iconic pens were beloved by U.S. Presidents and artists alike until 1971, when Esterbrook went out of business. In 2018, the brand was revived by Kenro Industries, a company of pen experts. Their mission is a noble one: to imagine Esterbrook pens exactly as they would be made in the 21st century, had the original company survived. We think they've done a terrific job of restoring the heritage of such an important American brand.
The Estie is the flagship pen in the Esterbrook line and is made of blended acrylic. If you're unfamiliar, rollerball pen ink is smoother and more acqueous than ballpoint pen ink, making it an excellent choice if you're looking for something in between a standard ballpoint and a fountain pen.
Esterbrook rollerball pens take a standard international rollerball refill.
