From Lauri London Freedman, a set of flat cards that serve an important purpose. In her words:
"Harkening back to a time when a mourner's behavior was prescribed with precision, these letter-pressed notecards will allow you to express your thank for ythe kindness of friends with subtle beauty and sincerity.
Traditional mourning stationery was printed with black borders of varying widths: the thickest black for a period of full mourning and moving to progressively thinner black borders as time passed. Although a modern mourner will not follow such rigid tradition, the varied space for writing a note will no doubt prove useful when only a brief Thank You is required."
This set includes 10 cards, two each of five different border thicknesses. They're hand-printed in Brooklyn on heavy cotton stock with corresponding envelopes.
