A favorite of many pencil enthusiasts, the Grip 2001 won a slew of design awards when it was first introduced in 2001 for its triangular shape and patented Soft-GRIP zone. Little dots speckle the barrel of the pencil so your fingers won't slip and your hand won't feel fatigued while writing for extended period of time. The pencil is made of Jelutong, a lightweight, easy to sharpen Indonesian wood and its graphite writes smoothly and retains its point very well.

This particular version features an all-black design and wood that has been dyed to match.

We measure the characteristics of the pencils we sell against a General's Semi-Hex #2, which is the pencil we consider to be a good quality pencil of true HB/#2 hardness, similar to that of most American #2 pencils. The swatch in this product listing reflects that.
