Tennessee Red Cedar Pencil Box - 2 Dozen
This product is currently sold out.
Once upon a time, American-made pencils were primarily made out of Tennessee red cedar, which is a darker, streaky-er, more fragrant type of cedar. Towards the middle of the 20th century, pencil companies began phasing it out as California incense cedar was found to be easier to work with, and much more plentiful.
Musgrave, a pencil company founded in Shelbyville, Tennesee in 1916 has brought back the Tennessee Red Cedar pencil with this stunning new pencil! The design pays homage to native wood and features a clear-coated finish to highlight the wood grain.
