Technically meant for Kohitsu Shosha, this is a very special pencil. It's made with a particularly thick, soft core that looks and feels like a 4B but is stronger. The purpose of such a pencil is for practicing Chinese calligraphy and also for improving penmanship. Most users love it for its buttery, brush-like quality. It's especially popular with modern calligraphers and hand-letterers, but we think it's a fun alternative for general use as well.
