The classic! For reference: the Ruby 621 is iconic in India in the same way the Ticonderoga is in the United States. Except (controversial opinion!), it's a better pencil AND there are actual TV commercials for it (check out this one, and this one). We love that every part of it is made in its origin country -- even the poplar it's cased in is native to India! As far as the core goes, it's the same as that in any Nataraj HB and is firm but dark.
Nataraj is the original brand under Hindustan Pencils, which makes about 8.5 million pencils a day across their many facilities in India. Not only do they make every part of the pencil, but they also grow and harvest their own native woods from which they make the wood casings for their pencils.
