Made for and sold by Tajima, a Japanese construction tool company, this pencil only comes in hard grades for precision and durability on the job. Basically, it's meant to be a fancy carpenter pencil for detail-oriented tradesmen. Word on the street is that these are made by Tombow -- notice the design similarities to their popular Mono pencils.
This pencil is graded 2H, but functions better than your average 2H pencils. It holds a terrific point and creates a fine line, but is surprisingly dark. We love it for those who prefer a harder writing pencil and often recommend it as a gift for an architect, contractor or draftsperson.
